Micah Frank Micah Frank is a Brooklyn based sound and music artist. He can be found performing live with some of NYC’s hottest avant-garde acts or behind the music on your TV set during commercial breaks. Micah’s work encompasses everything from live electronics to sonification art and sound design for the world’s leading music manufacturers. As Kamoni (www.kamoni.net), his solo assemblage of jungle beats, cerebral sounds, and chopped up samples has received an international audience as he implements a unique, dynamic use of percussion hardware controllers, synthesizers and software. In recent years he has performed throughout The US, Canada and Europe. Micah is the lead developer at Puremagnetik, a boutique sound design company he founded in 2006. He has contributed to numerous factory sound libraries including Native Instruments FM8, KORE and Ableton’s Operator, Sampler and Drum Machines. Micah's work has been featured in Electronic Musician, Sound on Sound, XLR8R, Remix, Recording, Computer Music, Knowledge, Keys and numerous other publications. |
Brian Cass Multi-instrumentalist Brian Cass brings years of experience as a musician, engineer, and sound designer. His first instrument was the Commodore 64 followed shortly by the electric guitar. More recently he's been building his own instruments using sensors and microcontrollers. Having graduated from Berklee College of Music in 1999, Brian launched his professional career just as the recording industry was fully embracing the computer-based digital audio workstation. He has remained at the cutting edge of digital audio technology ever since. Brian's music production experience includes projects for Gavin Castleton, Jordan Rudess, MIT Press, American Museum of Natural History, The Overclock Orchestra (his one-man electronic band), as well as numerous post-production projects for radio, television, and film. He is founder of celebrated production & remix team Overclock Inc. As an audio technician and music technologist with RPC Audio, Brian has worked with several grammy winning musicians and some of the largest recording facilities in the United States. In the past, he's been employed as a digital audio specialist by API, SmartAV, Native Instruments and Berklee College of Music. Since 2004, Cass has been developing sound content for the Puremagnetik catalog, as well as for the Ableton and Native Instruments factory sound libraries. |
