Max for Live Developer : Dave Linnenbank

Dave Linnenbank has been my Max/MSP guru for almost 10 years now. When Puremagnetik decided to start developing Max for Live devices, it was a clear choice to get him involved. He's also provided support to countless students passing through the computer labs at Berklee College of Music, not just with Max, but just about everything from basic OS understanding to advanced DSP concepts. Besides educating others, Dave has an impressive collection of his own creations in Jitter, Reaktor, Nord Modular systems, JavaScript and a wide variety of musical compositions. I asked Dave some questions in order to introduce him to the Puremagnetik community and to reveal more about the upcoming bundle - Max Fuel, the First.

Richard Lainhart is an award-winning composer, author, and filmmaker - a digital artisan who works with sonic and visual data. Since childhood, he's been interested in natural processes such as waves, flames and clouds, in harmonics and harmony, and in creative interactions with machines, using them as compositional methods to present sounds and images that are as beautiful as he can make them.

Puremagnetik sound designer Brian Cass talks with Richard about his unique studio setup, favorite sound making devices and more.

Gavin's Castleton's work as a session keyboardist can be heard throughout much of Puremagnetik's looped content. As an engineer, producer, singer and songwriter Gavin has released an extensive body of work in recent years. His latest album Home is a diverse and engaging production - part heartbreak, part zombie story. We talked with Gavin about touring, his album and the making of Puremagnetik content.

Jeremy P. Caulfield has emerged from his early days on the Canadian techno circuit to become a leading light of today’s underground club scene.
